|Wisconsin comes in at #18, jumping four spots in this week's AP Top 25 poll. The Badgers join five Big Ten teams in the poll, the others being Indiana at #4, Ohio State (#7), Michigan State (#9), and Michigan (#10). Wisconsin started off the week with an upset on the road over then-6th ranked Michigan, 68-59. That was followed by another upset win on the road against then-3rd ranked Indiana, 68-56. The Badgers closed the week with a loss on the road to then-10th ranked Ohio State, 50-43.
Indiana moves down one spot in the poll following a week that began with a win on the road over Illinois, 80-64. After that came an upset loss on the road against Wisconsin.
Ohio State moves up three places after wins against Wisconsin, then-8th ranked Michigan State, 61-58, and Nebraska, 71-50. Michigan State moves down one spot after a win against Iowa, 59-56 and a loss to then-10th ranked Ohio State. Michigan moves down four places after a win against Penn State, 83-66 and a loss to Wisconsin.
Gonzaga hangs on to number one for the second straight week. Oregon breaks into the Top 25 at #25 with an overtime win on the road against Washington, 80-77, a win on the road over Utah, 64-45, and an upset win on the road over then-21st ranked UCLA, 78-69. Virginia Commonwealth falls out of the Top 25 this week with a win on the road over St. Joseph's (PA), 82-79, a win on the road over Massachusetts, 71-62, and a loss on the road to then-16th ranked Saint Louis, 62-56.
New Mexico is a big mover this week to #10 after a win on the road over Wyoming, 59-46, a win on the road over San Diego State, 60-50, and a win on the road over UNLV, 63-56.
